Time Flies When It's Summer

I am entering this ATC in the Simon Says Stamp and Show
Challenge for this week. The theme is Summer Holiday and seriously, this ATC reminds me that time really does fly in the summer months when your having fun!! It goes by way too fast. (My daughter would agree whole heartily)
I have been really stuck on the bright colors this month and for this ATC I used Dyan Reaveley sprays. They are awesome and bright. I used Dyan's stamps set "Further Around the Edge" for the lines on the edges. I actually wrote the words "Time Flies" haha, and for the time pieces I used a stamp set that I bought from Michael's stores on clearance. I can't recall the brand sorry. I added a flat watch piece that I had laying around to the wings, I thought it added some dimension. I also colored in the white dots with a marker at the bottom.
I hope you like it.

Rolodex Card

My next Rolodex swap on the All Things Tim group had a theme this time. The theme was Numbers, so each card had to have numbers on it somewhere. I decided to go with a 1+1 =2 type of theme. I am in "Spring" mode still so I decided also to do mine in brighter colors. I used distress stains and lots of Tim stamps. The quote says "Your the one who makes me the way you see me" one of my favorites of Tim's.

ATC Wendy Vecchi Style

I posted this ATC for a challenge on the Wendy Vecchi Yahoo group that I am a member of. I just love how it turned out. I have to say I just love Wendy's Stamps and her new embellishments. They are too cute.

I am also entering this ATC into the Simon Says Stamp and Show

challenge for this week. Anything goes!! I love anything goes because I can just let me mind soar and do whatever comes to me.

Thanks Simon Says!!!

Postcards

I've been in a bit of an ATC funk, so I'm switching to a new hobby. I'm still doing ATCs but not as much as I used to. My new thing, at least for now is postcards. I've done a few and I'm really having fun with them, I love getting mail and what better than an art postcard!! I joined a postcard swap and made a few, take a look!!!

The First one I made with torn up newspaper from Trader Joe's. I love their adds because they are very vintage looking and just neat. Then I color washed them with the new Dyan Reaveley sprays and added some cool stampsed images, also from Dyan Reaveley. I printed the "Home Sweet Home" from my computer and just cut it out. Postcards have to be flat in order to be able to mail them as a postcard so they differ from the ATCs since I can't add all the embelishments that I'd like to.

The next one I did with Tim and Ranger's alcohol inks on some glossy cardstock. I drew the flowers in the background and then added the Dyan Reaveley ABC stamp. I have a great big flower punch from Stampin up that I cute the flowers from and added a stamped writting on top. The upper left flower is a stamp from Wendy Vecchi, love her!! This one is fun with it's summer colors and flowers.

Tickets & More

Sorry, It's been awhile since I posted, I've been in a lull I think. I went and joined a few swaps in some of my yahoo groups so that I could get my mojo back. The result was great, I'm glad I joined because it forced me to go back into my craft room and finish something. The first swap was on the AllThingsTim yahoo group and the theme was tickets. We all used the Tim Holtz ticket die to cut tickets and watercolor paper. It was supposed to be sort of a watercolor look for these. I used glossy accents over some of the art to bring it out. I'm also entering this project into the Simon Says Stamp and Show
This weeks challenge is to use a favorite stamp and one of my all time favorite stamps is the butterfly one that I used on the tickets. It's part of one my precious Tim sets and I just love it!!!

The second picture is a swap I joined on TheSumofAllATCs yahoo group. The theme there was Telephone book paper backgrounds. How fun this one was, it was great to tear up the phone book and use it as a background. I also used the Tim Holtz distress stains to color the phone book pages so they weren't yellow and went with my theme. Enjoy!!!
