JAMS

A friend recently introduced me to ATC JAMS and I'm having so much fun with them. I love the idea of getting something and adding a little bit to it and sending it on. It's been fun. These are the first three cards that I did.

For this one I added the colored gears. I painted them to
match the colors in the background.

For this one I added the spider and web and
chalked around the edges with black ink

This was the toughest one for me, I added the paper
on top and the ribbon.

Seeds of Love

This was a fun ATC to put together. I used a paper towel for the background and just painted it with some different color paints and added some sparkle paint as well. The I added the little envelope and the flowers. I thought it turned out cute. lol.

Work in Progress

We are doing a chunky ATC swap in one of my groups on Yahoo, it's a 2x4 piece of wood and we are supposed to decorate each side with a theme and I worked all day one this one. It's not done yet, but I wanted to post pictures of what I have so far so I can get some feedback. I have to say, for some reason this one was really hard for me to come up with an idea and start putting it together. I do have some embellishments that I want to add and some things to "finish" it. I'm hoping to do the next one in a Halloween theme but again, it's been tough for me to get started on these for some reason. I am only showing three sides so far, one side isn't done and the top isn't started yet. Also, as I am looking at the pictures I can tell that the wood was bowed a little when looking at it from the side but it actually isn't very noticable in person. Please give me your feedback.

Valerie's Thank you card and ATC

I made these as a gift for Valerie for helping me out with my blog. The first one is a Thank You card and the second is an ATC that I made to go along with it.

Halloween Itch!!

I got a Halloween Itcha nd made some ATCs the other day. The one with the little boy was made out of a antique greeting card. I thought it came out cute. The other one was made out of some scraps from Creative Memories stuff I had laying around.

Button Fairie

I'm thinking about doing a swap with button Alice themed button Fairies on one of my swap groups. I'm hoping that there is plenty interest because I really love buttons, Alice In Wonderland and button fairies so it would be a 3 in one win for me haha!!! Here is one that I worked on today. The Mad Hatter

Altered Altoid Tin Swap

I have a swap going on one of my Yahoo swap groups, it's where you get an Altoid Tin and alter it in some way to create altered artwork with it. The following is a few pictures of the Tin that I altered and will swap out. This was so much fun and I love Alice in Wonderland so it was fun to do the Halloween Wonderland theme.  The first thing I did was sand it a little and then added paint. I used a nice cream beige color to go with the paper behind Alice. Then I glued some different ribbons on the outside front and did some paper layering for Alice, I also used some texture scissors and some black ink around the edges of the paper to make it "pop" a little more. I punched a hole on the side and added the red brad so that it would look like a drawer handle and added some worded paper on each side. On the inside I painted the top and bottom edges with black paint and added the paper layering here again. I also added some words and used ink for the textured paper look on the pieces with words. I used a red heart brad for the Queen of Hearts tail and I used Collage Podge on top of it all to give the shiney look to it. I added the green ribbon around the inside bottom to give it a nice softer look on the inside.

Altered Puzzle Piece

I just finished the coolest swap with one of my groups. It was altered puzzle pieces with a twist and this was alot of fun. My themes were Mardi Gras - Gold and Countries/Travel -Beige tan.
I started by sanding down the puzzle pieces so they would take
paint and glue better

After that I painted them in basic black. I figured this would be the
best base color for both of them.

Lastly I decorated using paper, stamps, embossing and added embelishments.
I had tons of fun with these and I think they came out nice.
I hope my partners like them :-)
