Postcard - TAKE 2

Well I refurbished these postcards and I really like the way they turned out this time. I wound up keeping the one that I made earlier for myself and am giving these away for the swap. I had already done all the backgrounds for all the postcards so what I did was just moved some things around on the rest of them and added a few things and whallaaa!! Much better I think :) What do you think???

Postcard - My Heart

I have been in a bit of a funk lately and it really has taken me about three days to make this postcard. It's actually still a work in progress too. I don't actually think I'm done with it just yet lol.
For this project I used quite a few different products, ranging from Tim Holtz, Dyan Reaveley to Wendy Vecchi and I used several different techniques, I even got out my Eclipse machine and cut that cute little flower in the corner there. I have worked on it and walked away and worked and walked away, quite a few times.
At any rate, this one will be submitted for this weeks Simon Says Stamp and Show . It's anything goes week over on their blog, yay!! I just love those guys!!
Hope you like it:

Alcohol Inks!! Pazazz!!

I am part of an ATC group that swaps on a monthly basis and this months theme is Alcohol Inks from Tim Holtz and Ranger. I just love the new brighter ones and haven't used them yet so I figured I would break them out and give it a go. I used the Tim Holtz Metal tape for the background and an embossing folder to make the metal look. I then used a Stampin Up flower die and the metal tape to cut the flowers and used alcohol inks on all of it.

All Things Tim ATC Swap

On my Yahoo group, All Things Tim, for our ATC swap this month we were to create an ATC using Tim's mini-mister spritzing techniques for Distress Ink/s for your background. Here is a link to the video: Distress Ink Video by Tim Holtz
I was excited about this theme because I wanted to make a really bright colored background this time. I don't do a whole lot of brights so I really wanted to play with this. Here is what I came up with...

I absolutely love this Townscape Die by Sizzix and Tim Holtz and when I saw that it was in stock at Absolutely Everything  I just had to jump on it. I have been wanting it for some time now. Hope you like what I came up with :)

After Spring Break Crafting

Wow, last week was Spring Break for my daughter and me and the family really had a wonderful time, we went to Ocean City, Maryland for three days. The weather was fantastic and we had so much fun, I really enjoyed this vacation. Here are a few pics...

This was the view from our hotel balcony, so pretty.

My husband and daughter

This is my daughter walking on the beach. It's harder than I thought to walk in the sand lol.

Now that I'm back home I have worked on a project for my All Things Tim yahoo group. I'm hosting a swap with rolodex cards. We were to decorate a rolodex card in Tim Holtz style.
Here is the picture of the one that I did for this swap. I must say, this was super fun to do.

For this card, besides a few small parts, I used all Tim Holtz items. The stamps are all Tim and so are the dies. For the little compass in the corner, I used Tim's compass stamp and shrinky dinks. I first stamped the compass onto shrinky dink with the Ranger Adirondack black stamp pad. It takes a little bit to dry so I set it aside for a little bit. Then on the back side I colored them with the New Tim Holtz Distress Markers in Spiced Marmalade. Punched a hole in them and shrank them down. I drew the swirls on the car with the Tim's picket fence distress marker, it took a few layers to get it darker but it came out nice. For the stamp in the background I used distress embossing powder. Enjoy!!
I am submitting this project in the Simon Says Stamp weekly project.
