Fall Beauty Chunky ATC

Hello all, today I want to share with you a chunky ATC that I did for a few challenges....

The first challenge I wanted to partake in this week is from  the Stampotique Designers Challenge
The host this week is Sam Read and she is challenging us to do an "ATC".
The second challenge I wanted to join was over at Frilly and Funky's Challenge Blog - They are challenging us to do "Colours Of Autumn"
The third Challenge I want to enter today is over at Artful Times Challenge Blog - Their theme is also Autumn Colours. It's been a bit since I've joined their challenges but I always love them.

I've been doing some Autumn tags and such already but since I really love Autumn I'm so thrilled to do some more.

For this ATC I wanted to do something really different so I used this piece of cardboard that I had laying around my craft room. It was tore on one side and when I saw it I just couldn't bring myself to throw it out. I saw potential here...

I measured and cut the torn edge into ATC size, for the cutting I used a box cutter. It didn't smoosh the cardboard it just cut right through it maintaining the shape and depth.

Once cut I used a mix of Dyan Reaveley and Adirondack color wash sprays to color the background.

I set that aside to dry a bit and then went over the edges/side with some black acrylic paint dabber.

I again, set it aside to dry. In the mean time, I used Memory Box frame die and brown card stock to cut out my tree.
I wanted my tree to have some texture so I used a bark stamp  and some embossing powder to create the tree texture.

I also wanted some leaves for my tree so i used card stock in several fall colors and the Tim Holtz Autumn Gatherings Die
to create some leaves.

I went around each leaf with Gathered Twigs distress ink to grunge them up a bit.

I then used my Stampotique stamp Halloween Cube 2 by artist Daniel Torrent to stamp onto water color paper.

I then colored them with distress markers and a water brush. I also fussy cut them out.

Once that was done and my background was dry I simply added everything together.

This ATC is thick enough that it will stand up on it's own. I love that!!

Thanks again for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed the tutorial. Have a super fall day!!
