DIY Cell Phone Case Cover

I recently got some new artsy stuff in the mail and I've been itching to use it all

I also have been wanting to make my own cell phone cover for awhile. I've had this silicone clear cover that I bought at Michael's for almost six months or more. You know how that goes, you want to do something with it and bring it home and it ends up sitting around your craft room for awhile. HAHA! I know I'm not the only one.

Anyway, this cover makes it so simple to add your own personal touch to your case and display your own work too

I used the Stampotique stamps:

I Am My Art - From Carol's Collection
The Crafter - By Artists Daniel Torrente and Jill Penney

I also used Tim Holtz Distress Paints for the background and Dylusion's new stencil Blocks by Dyan Reaveley

I also got my new Tim Holtz Marker Spritzer tool so I also used that on this project

Here is what my background looked like prior to my character and words going on

That distress paint is so awesome!

I used a bit of Archival Ink for the Stencil and added some washi tape
I doodled around my blocks with black and white markers

I stamped and embossed my girl and then just colored her with copic markers, I stamped her heart again and used red embossing powder this time and cut that out and pasted it

I freehand drew some hearts in black for the background

I used my marker spritzer tool along with my copics to add some color to my words

This is my finished case

I had to cut that hole up in the upper lefthand corner but I just used a exacto knife for that

I really love how it turned out and I'm going to walk around with the coolest cell phone case now
This is a really easy way to make your own case too

Thanks for coming by the blog
Cheers!!

  10. Stunning unique cover. Turned out great & you have the joy of knowing there will be no one with the same design,
I am terrible for having to purchase something & it sitting unused for months. I often have 5 or 6 projects on the go at once too!!!
