There is a challenge over at Stampotique's Designers Challenge Blog
Our hostess this week is The amazing France Papillon
She has chosen the theme "Inspiration from a Favorite Book"
There are so many book that I like but one of my favorites is "Pride and Prejudice" I just love how Mr Darcy and Elizabeth Bennet are so proud and once they learn to let that pride go they find love
So I decided to use a quote from the book
I also used Stampotique Stamp:
Lovelyarthesound - By Artist Daniel Torrente
To get started I used some tissue paper and glued it onto my manilla card stock, I crumpled it up as I went
Once dry, I used distress ink and went over the tissue paper lightly, this really made that texture pop off my postcard
I then used a Crafter's Workshop stencil and some archival ink to add some more interest to my background
(the next few steps who not photographed, sorry)
I stamped my image onto vellum and heat embossed him and ran him through the Xyron so he would stick easily.
I had this heart made of felt and also ran that through the Xyron machine
I wrote my quote onto white paper and placed it where I thought it would look best
Lastly I did a little stitched through my heart
Here is my finished postcard...
We would love to see your creations over at the Designers Challenge Blog and who knows, you may win the 30.00 gift card for the shop.
