Compendium of Curiosities Challenge 1

Hello all, Im so excited about the New Compendium of Curiosities Challenges that have begun once again, you can find them Here on Linda Ledbetter's Blog. She has done these challenges for every one of Tim Holtz books and I have taken part in all of them. I'm thrilled that she is doing them again with this new book.
You can get a signed copy of this book on Tim's website HERE

For this challenge we have two weeks to come up with a creation from page 43 called Paint Marbling

This is a fun technique using distress paint and I have done it many times since the paint came out. It's great for creating backgrounds

For my creation I chose to make a card and I started with three colors of distress paint

I didn't want to go with the brighter colors this time, I wanted more of a darker background, that's why I went with the colors I did
This is how my background turned out. I love it, that marbling technique is really beautiful

This is how it looked once dried

I used Tim's Dies and Stamps to create my words and leaves
I also used distress stain to color my ribbon and added a heart charm

If you haven't joined in on this make sure you do, it's sure to be a blast!!
Thanks for coming by!!
