Postcard - My Heart

I have been in a bit of a funk lately and it really has taken me about three days to make this postcard. It's actually still a work in progress too. I don't actually think I'm done with it just yet lol.
For this project I used quite a few different products, ranging from Tim Holtz, Dyan Reaveley to Wendy Vecchi and I used several different techniques, I even got out my Eclipse machine and cut that cute little flower in the corner there. I have worked on it and walked away and worked and walked away, quite a few times.
At any rate, this one will be submitted for this weeks Simon Says Stamp and Show . It's anything goes week over on their blog, yay!! I just love those guys!!
Hope you like it:

  2. Hello Claudine

    you asked for comments...
It's a nice card which draws your attention immediately.

You have a colorful and textured background with different images. You have a big focal point with the heart with the different layers ( like that !! )
I love the different textures you created with embossing powder, stamping in UTEE,...

They only thing I would do different is the direction of the quote. Now your heart and the quote are in the same direction. I think it would look more interestingly when the quote is horizontal or tilted to the right.

You added gears as embellishment ( probably because you like steampunk like lots of us), but they don't have anything common with the "theme" of the rest of your card.
I would rather use flowers or something, cause you have the flowers in the background and on the right. That would "coordinate" more and make it more cohesive.

    But , that's my opinion...:)
Tastes can different and that's a good thing !
But you asked what you could change or improve and that are my thoughts on your nice card !

    greetings from belgium
    Inge
