Unruly Paper Arts October!!

I'm so happy to be on for another term over at Unruly Paper Arts their Reader arts Quests are so fun and challenging. For the month of October the RAQ's are of course based on Halloween-ish things.

The first RAQ is "Going Batty" - we sure hope that you will join in and make something Batty and post. Here is your link -

The second RAQ is " Black it Out" - this could be interpreted so many ways, I love our design teams take on this one. Here is a link to this one -

I decided to make a card for the "Going Batty" RAQ and I just love Halloween and the colors of this season so I tried to put all of that into one card. haha!!
For my background I used lots of Dyan Reaveley sprays. I wanted my moon to be different so I used a circle piece of paper to cover my card before I sprayed.

This way I can color the moon a different color to make it stand out.

I used another piece of cardstock where my circle was punched out of and covered my card and filled in my moon with Distress Inks in various colors.

I used grungepaper to cut out my graveyard scene. This is one of Tim's on the edge dies. I also used Distress crackle paint and painted the entire surface of my graveyard. Before I used the crackle paint, i edged the scene with Archival ink in black and also wrote RIP onto one of the gravestones.

You can see the crackle paint here, I tried to get as much texture with it as possible.

Once the crackle paint was dry I used my paint dabber to go over the entire thing. I love how it looks, nice and old and spooky.

For the numbers, I used one of Tim's dies and black card stock and applied glossy accents to them so they would shine.

The bats were stamped with embossing ink and embossed with black embossing powder.
WHALLA!!! What do you think??

Thanks again for coming by. This was so much fun. We hope you will join us over at
Unruly Paper Arts for this months Reader Art Quests.
