Angel Boy - Journal Page

Sometimes just working in your art journal for no particular reason is the best thing ever!!
It's so funny because I set out to use certain stamps and images on this page and I ended up doing something completely different. This is why the Art Journal is so freeing, no rules and no inhibitions. I love it!

I used the following Stampotique stamps for this page:
Angel Boy - By Daniel Torrent
Cross Hatch Swirl - By Maryse Carrier

This page began with black and blue acrylic paints put on with an old credit card
I added some stenciling Finnabair's circle stencil and red acrylic paint
I stamped my cross hatch swirl in a heart pattern and cut it out and colored it with archival inks
I stamped my Angelboy and colored him with copic markers, I found this heart shape in his wing pattern so I colored that red too
I added the sentiment on a black strip of card stock and used my white gelli pen to doodle a bit

Sometimes it's fun to go and create with nothing special in mind. You should try it and see what you come up with.
Thanks for stopping by,
CHEERS!!

  2. This is just magnificent, Claudine, and so much more than just a journal page...it is a piece of art! Perfect colors, perfect image, perfect background, perfect quote....but, beyond all that perfection, is the small red heart on Angel Boy's wing...therein lies the magnificence! Mwah! KayW
