"Now that summer is almost here, it's time to spend some time in the garden and enjoy the nature and flowers. Let's see your best Butterfly, flowers and all things Garden projects"

For my project I went with Butterflies, they are my favorite. I made a journal page
This background was made using a gel print and I love the colors.

I used Stampotique stamps:

Stampotique Challenge 237 - Birds

Hi there and welcome back to the blog today. It's Wednesday and that means it's time again for another challenge over at Stampotique.
This week Nellie van Leeuwen is our hostess and she is asking us to use some birds in our creations. Here is what Nellie says about this challenge:
"So close to Easter, I would love to see you use birds and stuff related to birds, such as, feathers, eggs, nests etc... in your artwork"

I decided to make a cover page for one of my planners. It's my favorite planner, it's a personal size travelers planner and I just love everything about it. I really haven't done much in way of making it my own yet so I wanted to do a cover page

For this page I used Stampotique Stamps:
You did what? - By artist Terri Richardson
Stacked Cups - By Artist Roc Nicholas

I feel the only way I can function in life is to start the day with my coffee, so this page really depicts that for me.

I hope you have enjoyed my project today, come one over to Stampotique's Challenge Blog and join us this week

Stampotique Challenge - Spots and Stripes

Hello and welcome back to the blog on this wonderful Wednesday. There is a new challenge over at Stampotique this week and Samantha is our hostess.
She is challenging us to "Spots and Stripes"
Here is what Sam says about this challenge:

"I love anything spotty or with polka dots and I also love stripes but they can be difficult to combine in one project. So my challenge for you this week is to use Spots and Stripes in your creations. Have Fun!"

Boy is Sue right about that, spots and stripes are not an easy thing to combine together haha!

For my project today I made a bookmark using lots of Roc Nicholas's fun stamps
This was so fun to do and I hope I did the challenge justice haha I really tried to use various spots and a few stripes.

I used Roc's Stamps, MonsterSquiggle ArmsScalloped Lace Border
I also drew a few bubbles and coddled a bit onto the green paper.

I hope you have enjoyed my project today....

Come on over to the Stampotique  Designer's Challenge Blog and join us this week. There is also a ton of inspiration from our design team.

Wednesday means we have a new challenge over at Stampotique's Challenge Blog. This week our hostess is
Kathi and she is challenging us to "Mardi Gras"

Here is what Kathi says about this challenge:
"The colors of Mardi Gras are purple, green, or gold. Use them or the symbols of Mardi Gras -- Fleurs de Lys, masks, costumes, or music! Let the good time roll!"

Well this is certainly going to be a challenge for me because I don't usually use any of those colors so I decided to go with it and see what happens.

I created a journal page this week and used Stampotique stamps:

Jasper Furling - By Artist Daniel Torrente
Unleash Yourself - By Roc Nicholas

This week Carol Fox is our hostess and she is challenging us to "Bright Colors"
Here is what Carol says about this challenge:

"Bright eye popping colors to brighten up November"
For this challenge I am working in a tag book.....

Marjie Kemper came to the store where I work here in Colorado and she mentioned that she had an online class so I had bought the class awhile back from Marjie and I decided to make this tag book playing along with her class.
I began with lesson 1 and used the techniques I learned on the cover of my tag book

This is what I came up with and it was perfect for this week's Stampotique Challenge.

I just love the bright bold colors and how the torn paper and stenciling look in my background. So fun!!

For this cover I used Stampotique Stamps:
Ta-dah with words on the side - By artist Kate Crane
Her Soul Danced - By artist Roc Nicholas

We really hope you will come on over to The Stampotique Designer's Challenge Blog and join us this week for a wonderfully bright challenge.

Stampotique Challenge 209 - Repeat Yourself

Hello all, welcome back to the blog today. Thanks once again for stopping by.
This is Wednesday and you know what that means, another challenge over at Stampotique Designer's Challenge Blog

This week our hostess is Samantha and her challenge to us is "repeat"
this is what Samantha says about this challenge

"I recently read that the human eye likes things that are repeated, so for this weeks challenge I'm inviting you to use some sort of repetition on your creations. A stamp stamped more than once or even your own doodling, it's up to you but most importantly have fun!"

I have recently gotten into the Filofax craze and got my very first filofax organizer. Mine was simple and didn't come with many things so I created my own tabs and dashboard

For this challenge I decided to create a dashboard with my Stampotique stamps for my filofax

Here is what I came up with:

I used Stampotique stamps:

Circle Cube and Weasel with Thank You on the side - By Daniel Torrente

For the edge I used
Scalloped Lace Border - By Roc Nicholas

I repeated my lace border in order to fill the entire side and I used Weasel twice
I used Dina Wakley's paints on my background and tab
I just love how this page came out, it looks great at the forefront of my Filofax.

I hope you will come by Stampotique's Designer's Challenge and join us this week. You might end up winning a 30.00 gift certificate to the online store.
Have a great week!!

August - Roc Nicholas Design Team Post

Hello all and welcome back to the blog today. It is the 7th of the month and it's my turn to post for the Roc Nicholas Design team.
This month I am using a stamp of Roc's that I just got this month. It's not a new stamp but it's a great one, it's simply called,

I used the Horse stamp to create a cute bookmark for my books and or art journals.

This is photo of the front of my bookmark, at this point it looks normal just like a simple stamped and colored image

I colored my image so that the horse has on a pair of glasses (perfect for reading)

from the side it looks like this

I cut out a second piece of thick cardstock to create a back to my bookmark. I then glued the upper portion of the head to the back cardstock so that the bookmark would open in order to place over the books pages

When the bookmark is in the book and the book is closed, I think it's really cute how he looks over the edge, I love it!!

There are many of Roc's stamps that would be so cute as a bookmark like this one, check out all her stamps here:

Have a great day!!!

Stampotique Challenge 204 - Twinchies

Hello and welcome back to the blog today. Wednesday means another challenge over at Stampotique's Designer Challenge Blog YAY!!

Our hostess this week is Janet Klein and her challenge is "Twinchies"
Here is what Janet has to say about this challenge:
"Twinchies are small works of art that measure 2 x 2". Create a set of twinchies using your favorite stampotique stamps"

For this particular challenge I decided to do a journal page with quite a few twinchies.
This page reminds me of the Brady Bunch but I called them "The Crazy Bunch" haha!

I used Stampotique Stamps:
4 Dwarfy Gnomes and Goat Monster - By Kira Nichols
Blessed Skellie - By Roc Nicholas
Young Ignis - By Magda Polokow
Moth Fab - By Jill Penney and Daniel Torrente
Waltzing Fleur - By Janet Klein

This was such a fun page to create with all the Stampotique images. I hope you will come by the Designer's Blog and join us this week, you could win a 30.00 gift card for the online store.
Have a wonderful day!!

Roc Nicholas Design Team

Hello all and welcome back to the blog. Today is the 7th of the month and that means it's my turn to make something for the Roc Nicholas Design Team
Make sure to check out all of Roc's stamps over at the online Stampotique Store
They are so fun to use, I just love them

For today's post I decided to do a journal spread. I used my Dylusions larger journal today so I'd have plenty of space for all of my stamps
This page started out as just a mess of paint and crackle paste and all kind of things. LOL

You can see the white crackle paste better here, I love it!

I used all of Roc's sentiment stamps that I have in my possession for this. (except one) I simply stamped them onto paper and added them to my background

I can't tell you how much I just love this page now that it's done. The colors are bold and all the stamps really give the page life.
I hope you have a wonderful day!!!

Roc Nicholas Design Team - June is Kindness

Welcome to the blog everyone, today is the 7th of June and that means it's my turn to post for the Roc Nicholas Design team. I always love using Roc' stamps for my creations so this month I chose the stamps:
and

These are two of my favorite stamps by Roc. I decided to do a journal page this month and I want to
reflect on kindness and the things that you say to others.
Sometimes we tend to blurt out our words before we even think about how someone might react to them.
So with that in mind, here is my journal page

The background of this page was a "wipe off" page for my Dylusions paints and I just went with it. I love the colors and I think that Bunny looks fabulous against the circles in the background.

I wrote the words that I wanted coming out of Bunny's mouth, Kindness
Love and
Respect

This should be a rule of thumb I think.
I hope you like my project this month and make sure to stop by Stampotique Originals and check out all of Roc's wonderful stamps.
CHEERS!!!

"I love to combine designs together. This time I want to see something funny. Combines a human body with an animal head. I am looking forward to your creations."

What a fun challenge, right?

I put together a journal page for this week

I used Stampotique stamps:

Design Cube - By France Papillon

Roc Nicholas Design Team Post

Today is the 7th of the month and that means it's my turn to make something for The Roc Nicholas Design Team

I always love designing for the team because Roc's stamps are so fun and work so well together and I can do whatever I want

So for this months post I decided to make a journal page
I have used Roc's stamps:
Stand TallHeart VineScalloped Lace Border and only the tail portion of Bunny

The sentiment on this page was one I had heard in a movie sometime and I can't recall which movie but I know I loved it.
I started off my page with three different Dylusions paint colors
I applied it in lines and just blended the edges a tad

If you look closely in the background you can see Bunny's tail stamped here and there

You cant find all of Roc's stamps over at the store at Stampotique Originals

Have a great day!!

Stampotique Challenge 193 - Polka Dots

Welcome back to the blog, this week on the Stampotique Designers Challenge Blog our hostess is Samantha Read and she has chosen the theme "Polka Dots"

Here is what Sam says about this challenge:
"I included polka dots in a previous challenge and everyone who took part seemed to have such fun, I thought we could revisit them :) Have fun!"

Well, I just love circles and polka dots and such so this challenge was fun for me.
Of course I had to do a journal page because I just love working in my journals.

This page was a clean up page.  I used it to clean up leftover paint on my craft mat.
I think the bright colors in the background are so beautiful even though they were just splotched on the page
For this project I used Stampotique Stamps:

BunnyRoc's Angel - By Artist Roc Nicholas
Love Definition - By Amy Wilson Wellenstein

This page kind of took on a life of it's own but I really like that there is so much to see and look at and there are polka dots everywhere

I hope you will come by the blog and take on this fun challenge with us. You could win a 30.00 gift certificate to the Stampotique online store.
